Elected Offices
Like in a Chapter, certain offices are elected by members of New Mexico DeMolay. Click each position below to learn more about it's requirements.
As per our Bylaws: Candidates for an elected office must submit a letter of intent by e-mail or letter (both is prefered) to the Executive Officer of the New Mexico DeMolay Association no later than 30 days prior to the Annual Convention (Conclave). Such letter must include Chapter or Jurisdictional Offices previously held and a statement of objectives, if elected. The letter must also be approved and signed by the Chairman of the Advisory Council and the candidate’s parent(s) or legal guardian indicating their support. A candidate for the office of State Master Councilor cannot serve two concurrent one year terms.

State Master Councilor (SMC)
A candidate for the office of State Master Councilor must have all the following:
Served as a State Councilor of the New Mexico DeMolay Association
Served as Master Councilor of a New Mexico DeMolay Chapter
Be a member in good standing of a New Mexico DeMolay Chapter
Received the Representative DeMolay Award
Completed the Leadership Correspondence Course
Be under age 21 on the date of election
State Senior Councilor (SSC)
Candidates for the office of State Senior Councilor must have all the following:
Served as Master Councilor of a New Mexico DeMolay Chapter
Be a member in good standing of a New Mexico DeMolay Chapter
Received the Representative DeMolay Award
Completed the Leadership Correspondence Course
Be under age 21 on the date of election
State Junior Councilor (SJC)
Candidates for the office of State Junior Councilor must have all the following:
Served as Master Councilor of a New Mexico DeMolay Chapter
Be a member in good standing of a New Mexico DeMolay Chapter
Received the Representative DeMolay Award
Completed the Leadership Correspondence Course
Be under age 21 on the date of election
Appointed Offices
Most other state positions are appointed by the incoming master councilor. Fill out the form below if you are interested in an appointed office for the ensuing term.
